This rescue takes in the older dogs--from other rescues, shelters, etc--and places them in foster homes either to prepare the dog for adoption if age/medical condition allows or to provide the dog a final refuge foster home where he/she will be surrounded by warmth, love, and care, including good vet care, until passing. Would that we humans would be so lucky. And this organization focuses all its resources on the animals.
This shelter for older dogs saves lives that otherwise may not live. Keep in mind that adopting an older dog may be for a shorter time, but they are so intelligent and loving. I really think they appreciate you sharing your home. Foster homes are needed too.
